Julia V. Betti,

2018 Scholarship Recipient

“Receiving the Kirtland Foundation Scholarship has made my college experience less stressful. Paying for my college education has always been a concern of mine and is always ever present. Because of this scholarship, I am able to focus on my studies and not worry about future debt payments. For that, I am thankful.”

Julia is currently a student at The University of Scranton. She is on the 5 year MBA track with a major in Marketing and a minor in History.

One of Julia’s goals is to be involved in the university’s community and domestic outreach. She would love to be known as someone who always lends a helping hand, and she assists classmates by tutoring, volunteering, offering a listening ear and sometimes just providing a simple smile.

Her hobbies include yoga, running, listening to music and following her favorite influencers on social media.

Julia is extremely appreciative of receiving the Kirtland Foundation Scholarship funds to pursue her dream of higher education.

“I will forever be grateful to the Kirtland Foundation, the Kirtland Scholarship and especially Mr. and Mrs. Kirtland. Their work ethic, business acumen and philanthropy are an inspiration to me. I believe in paying it forward and I hope one day, because of the help they gave me, I will be able to touch another’s life as they’ve touched mine.”
